• What is Shab-E-Barat?

Shab-e-barat Night, is a Muslim holiday celebrated on the 15th night, the night between 14 and 15 of the month of Sha'nban. Shabban is the  8th  month of the Islamic calendar. It remembers the entry of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) into the city of Mecca.

• The importance of Shab-E-Barat

On this night the almighty Allah listen to his servants. He forgives who pray forgiveness to him, he gives blessing who needs and let the sinners go away. So the shab e barat is important for all who wants to remove his sins and this night is known as night of Forgiveness. 

• What Muslims do in this night?

The Muslim community offer prayers in this night and seek the forgiveness from ALLAH and offer the NAWAFIL during this night and recite the HOLY QURAN and arrange the Mehfil-E-Naat. 

On the 14th and 15th day of Shabban Muslim community make the sweet dishes or different dishes at home and after prayer divide them into the poor community and its a excellent habbit.

• What is Arfa in Shabban?

It is the month of "separation", so called because the pagan Arabs used to disperse in search of water. ... Sha'ban is the last lunar month before Ramadan, and so Muslims determine in it when the first day of Ramadan fasting.

• History of Shab-E-Barat 

The history of this festival dates backs to the time when the 12th Imam of the Shia Muslims named Muhammad al-Mahdi was born. The night of Shab e barat is celebrated as his birthday.

Sunni Muslim community believes that on this day only, God saved the ark of Noah from the flood. This is why the people across the globe celebrate shab e barat.

• According to Hadith's

 In hadith, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“In the 15th night of Shaban, Allah manifests and forgives all His creation except for the Mushrik (idolater) and the spiteful.” (Ibn Majah)
